Labour and Employment Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya today said, the government has taken legislative and other measures to address the issues like wage disparity and workplace safety for women.

In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, he said, the government has enacted several Acts and Wages Code including advisory for employers to ensure the safety and well-being of female workers.

The Minister said, the government is also implementing women-centric schemes like the Mission Shakti, Namo Drone Didi, Lakhpati Didi, and special programmes at the National and Regional Vocational Training Institutes among others for improving the employability of women.
