The government has incurred a total expenditure of around 36 thousand 398 crore rupees towards the procurement of COVID vaccines for free supply to States and Union Territories. Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Prataprao Jadhav stated this in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today. Mr Jadhav said over 220 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered across the country so far. He said, India has sent over 3012 lakh doses of Covid-19 Vaccines to 99 countries and two United Nations Organisations under Vaccine Maitri Programme.
