Govt approves Nutrient-Based Subsidy rates for Kharif Season 2026 on Phosphatic and Potassic fertilisers

The government today approved Nutrient-Based Subsidy rates for the Kharif Season 2026 on Phosphatic and Potassic fertilisers. Briefing the media in New Delhi, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the tentative budgetary requirement for the Kharif season 2026 would be approximately 41,533 crore rupees.

He said the decision will ensure the availability of fertilisers to farmers at subsidised, affordable and reasonable prices. The government has also given its nod to the 41-kilometre-long Jaipur Metro Phase 2 from Prahladpura to Todi Mod. Mr Vaishnaw said this will comprise 36 stations and over 13,000 crore rupees will be spent on this project. The project will be implemented by Rajasthan Metro Rail Corporation Limited, a 50:50 joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan.

The Phase-2 corridor will provide seamless connectivity to major activity nodes such as Sitapura Industrial Area, VKIA, Jaipur Airport, Tonk Road, SMS Hospital and Stadium, Ambabari and Vidhyadhar Nagar. It includes underground stations at the airport area. It will integrate with the operational Phase-1 through planned interchanges and feeder systems, ensuring a unified and continuous metro network across the city.
