The programme was attended by Anurag Bajpai, Additional Chief Secretary; Rajiv Kumar Jain, Director General of Akashvani; Satyajeet Dash, Additional Director General, Akashvani North East Zone; and senior officials of the State government.

In his address, the Governor congratulated the Akashvani Imphal family for its six decades of exemplary service since its inception on the 15th of August, 1963. He praised the station’s vital role in promoting national unity, preserving Manipur’s cultural identity, and giving a voice to remote communities through programmes in multiple local dialects.

The Governor commended Akashvani Imphal’s professionalism and innovation in public broadcasting, including its pioneering digital initiatives such as 24×7 YouTube live streaming.
