Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today informed that the government will roll out a comprehensive nationwide series of region-wise Regional Agricultural Conferences during April-May 2026. The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare said that these conferences will serve as an important platform for structured dialogue, review, and future planning in the agriculture sector. It added that the initiative aims to bring together Union and State Agriculture Ministers, scientists, progressive farmers, farmer organisations, Farmer Producer Organisations, agri-startups and private sector stakeholders to jointly review the progress of key schemes and formulate forward-looking strategies based on field-level insights. Sharing details about the conferences, Mr Chouhan said that the first Zonal Conference for the Western Region will be held on the 7th of April in Jaipur. He said that the Northern Region Conference will be organised on the 17th of April in Lucknow, covering Delhi, Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Punjab, and Uttarakhand. Apart from this, the Eastern Region Conference is scheduled for the 24th of April in Bhubaneswar, with participation from Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal.
