As the Lok Sabha has passed the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill 2025, Dr Rohit Mehra, Dean, Research and Consultancy, Dr. BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, has welcomed the government’s effort. He said the bill is aiming to regulate online gaming by prohibiting harmful money gaming services like betting online, and at the same time, encouraging e-sports and social games for youngsters to learn new skills. That would also create more job opportunities in this sector.
