The Government has debunked a digitally altered video circulating on social media that falsely attributes the statement of Indian Army Chief, General Upendra Dwivedi.

The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau clarified that the content is digitally altered using artificial intelligence and is regulated by the Pakistani propaganda accounts.

It said that no such statement has been made by General Upendra Dwivedi and urged citizens to rely only on official sources for information.
