Ahead of the Budget Session of Parliament, the Government convened an all Party Meeting in New Delhi yesterday. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chaired the meeting. Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha J.P. Nadda, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, Ministers of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal and Dr L Murugan were present in the meeting.
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Leader Tiruchi Shiva, Trinmool Congress leader Sagarika Ghose, Samajwadi Party MP Ramgopal Yada,v among others, also attended the meeting.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the first part of the Budget Session will include a motion of thanks on the President’s address, followed by discussions on the Budget in both Houses of Parliament. Mr Rijiju appealed to all political parties to cooperate for the smooth functioning of the session.
