The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (DARPG) is observing Good Governance Week 2025 ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ starting from today. Releasing the guidelines for the nationwide campaign in New Delhi today, Secretary of DARPG, Rachna Shah, highlighted that good governance must be measured by service delivery at the grassroots. She emphasised that good governance is reflected not merely in policies and institutional frameworks but in how effectively public services reach citizens and how responsively grievances are addressed.
The campaign is being implemented in two phases: a preparatory phase and the implementation phase. In the preparatory phase, which was held between the 11th December to the 18th December, more than 2.11 lakh Grievances were resolved. As the next stage of the campaign, district collectors across the country will organise special camps at tehsil, block and panchayat levels, enabling direct interaction between officials and citizens for on-the-spot grievance resolution and improved delivery of public services. The nationwide campaign will run till 25th December.
