In Sri Lanka, Gita Mahotsav was celebrated with devotion and cultural splendour at the Panibharatha Theatre of the University of Visual and Performing Arts in Colombo. Organised by the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre under the High Commission of India, the event was inaugurated by Deputy High Commissi oner Dr. Satyanjal Pandey and Vice Chancellor Prof. Rohan Nethsinghe.

 

The evening featured a Kandyan dance presentation by the Ravibandhu Samanthi Dance Ensemble, Bharatanatyam recitals by Natya Kala Mandhir, and a thematic production by students of the Swamy Vipulananda Institute of Aesthetic Studies. The programme highlighted the timeless teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and strengthened cultural ties between India and Sri Lanka.
