In connection with Naval Day, the full dress rehearsal for tomorrow’s naval power display was held yesterday evening in Thiruvananthapuram. The main Naval exercise, with President Droupadi Murmu as chief guest, will take place tomorrow from 4:30 PM onward.
Akashvani correspondent reports that the pride of the nation, INS Vikrant, drew the most public attention during the full dress rehearsal conducted on Monday evening at Shankhumukham. Excitement soared as fighter aircraft took off from the aircraft carrier, captivating the large crowd that had gathered to witness the rehearsal. Another highlight that received loud applause was the demonstration of rescue and defense operations carried out during a mock ship-wreck situation. Navy personnel descended from a helicopter using ropes, reaching rescue boats and proceeding to the ship to perform evacuation procedures. The sequence was presented so realistically that it resembled an actual emergency operation.Following the impressive display of sailboats and fighter jet manoeuvres, the event concluded with the Naval parade, showcasing the discipline and strength of the Indian Navy.The grand Naval Day power display will be held tomorrow in the presence of President Droupadi Murmu.
