In French Open Tennis, Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori of Italy swept to a 1-nil victory over Americans Taylor Townsend and Evan King to claim the French Open mixed doubles crown in Paris, France yesterday.
In the men’s singles semifinals, Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic and Lorenzo Musetti will be in action today. In the first semi-finals, Novak Djokovic will take on Jannik Sinner at 6 PM IST and later in the second class, Carlos Alcaraz will square off against Lorenzo Musetti at 10:30 PM IST.
In the Women’s Singles final, World Number two Coco Gauff of America has entered the Women’s Singles final after beating Lois Boisson 2- Nil at Court Philippe-Chatrier in Paris. Meanwhile, Gauff has reached her third Grand Slam final. Coco Gauff will face No.1 Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus in the big final tomorrow. Earlier, Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus entered the Women’s Singles final, beating Poland’s Iga Świątek 6-0 in the deciding set of the Semifinals.
In the men’s doubles semi-final today, Britain’s Neal Skupski and Joe Salisbury will take on the American duo of Evan King and Christian Harrison. The match is set to begin at 3:40 pm. The winner will face Horacio Zeballos and Marcel Granollers in the finals. Earlier in the first semi-finals, the Zeballos-Granollers duo defeated Hugo Nys and Édouard Roger-Vasselin 2-1.
In the women’s doubles category, Aleksandra Krunić and Anna Sergeyevna Danilina will be up against Ulrikke Pia Eikeri and Eri Hozumi in the first clash. The match is set to begin at 4:40 pm.
