India’s top shuttlers, including Lakshya Sen and the doubles pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, are all set to begin their campaign at the French Open badminton tournament starting today. The tournament will be held at the Glaz Arena in Cesson-Sevigne, France. 

 

 

In men’s singles, Paris 2024 semi-finalist Lakshya Sen opens against Nhat Nguyen of Ireland, while youngster Ayush Shetty faces Japan’s Koki Watanabe.

 

 

In men’s doubles, the world number 6 pair of Chirag and Satwik begin their run against Indonesia’s Muhammad Rian Ardianto and Rahmat Hidayat.

 

 

In women’s singles, rising star Anmol Kharb faces a tough challenge against top seed An Se-young of Korea. Anupama Upadhyaya meets fourth seed Han Yue of China, while Unnati Hooda plays Malaysia’s Karupathevan Letshanaa.

 

 

Pruthvi Krishnamurthy Roy and Sai Pratheek K are in the men’s doubles draw. In women’s doubles, it’s an all-Indian first-round clash between Kavipriya Selvam and Simran Singh and the Panda sisters, Rutuparna and Swetaparna.

 

 

In mixed doubles, the pairs of Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto, and Rohan Kapoor with Rutvika Shivani Gadde, will look to make their mark against experienced international opponents.
