Foreign investors have been net buyers of Indian equities worth 16,912 crore rupees in February so far. As per the depositories’ data, foreign portfolio investors, or FPIs, also invested 3,605 crore rupees into the Indian debt markets, taking the net investment into the Indian capital market to 31,742 crore rupees during the period under review.
Buying returned this month after a lacklustre beginning of the new year. The heavy inflows follow sustained withdrawals of 35,962 crore rupees in January and 22,611 crore rupees in December.
