Four Indian youth boxers advanced to the finals of the World Boxing Futures Cup 2026 in Bangkok today after winning their semifinal bouts. Chandrika (51kg) defeated Morocco’s Rihab Hamdoune by Referee Stopped Contest , while Gunjan (48kg) beat North Korea’s Yu Gyong Kim 5-0 by unanimous decision.
Joyshree Devi (54kg) stopped Mexico’s Sofia Ramirez in the first round, and Ambekar Meetei (50kg) secured a 5-0 victory over Uzbekistan’s Abdugani Yorkinjonov. Radhamani Longjam (57kg) lost a close 2-3 bout to Ukraine’s Yevanhelina Petruk in the semifinals and settled for bronze. The tournament serves as a qualification pathway for the Youth Olympic Games 2026 in Dakar, Senegal in November this year.
