Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton hails India as key innovator in addressing climate change

Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton hailed India as a key innovator and leader in addressing climate change. Speaking at a fireside chat during the Mumbai Climate Week, Ms. Clinton said, India can become the innovator in the Global South as it leads the fight against climate change from the frontlines.

Calling for the need to shift resources from the Global North to the Global South, Ms. Clinton said that the Global South is all ready to set the climate agenda. Emphasising that the whole world is impacted by climate change, including the United States, which has been witnessing more wildfires, severe storms, and unusual heat patterns, Ms. Clinton said the frontlines of the fight against global climate change are right here in the Global South.
