Former President Ram Nath Kovind said that the country has built a robust and comprehensive framework for the protection of human rights. Mr Kovind said this while attending the 32nd foundation day of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and National Conference on Rights of Prison Inmates in New Delhi today. He said, since its establishment, the NHRC has evolved into one of the most respected human rights institutions in the world. He said that the commission shines as a beacon of hope for the people who seek redress and recognition of their rights.
