The funeral of the former Kerala Chief Minister  V S Achuthanandan will be held at Alappuzha District today afternoon.  The mortal remains of the veteran CPI M leader reached his home at  Alappuzha a short while ago.  Leaders of various political parties and people from different cross sections of the society paid homage to the departed leader during the funeral procession, which started from the State Capital Thiruvananthapuram yesterday afternoon.
