The last rites of former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and Rajya Sabha MP, Shibu Soren, popularly known as ‘Dishom Guru’ or ‘Guruji’ were performed today with full state honours at his native village in Nemra in Ramgarh district of Jharkhand.

After The mortal remains of Shibu Soren were laid on a flower-decked charpoy at his ancestral home in the village in adherence to full tribal customs. The villagers gave him a final farewell by showering flowers.

Many political leaders including former Union Minister and Congress MP Subodhkant Sahai, MP Pappu Yadav, many dignitaries including Arjun Munda, Sudesh Mahato, DGP Anurag Gupta, political leaders and many dignitaries attended the funeral ceremony. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge reached Nemra.

Apart from them, Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Union Minister Jual Oram, Annapurna Devi, Sanjay Seth and MLAs of Jharkhand paid tributes to the departed leader.
