Former Union Finance Minister P.Chidambaram welcomed the Centre’s GST rationalisation and rate cuts in GST reforms and appreciated them. In an interaction with the media at Madurai, the Senior Congress leader said that the current design of GST and the rates prevailing until today should not have been introduced in the first place.
