The political environment is heating up in Bihar. RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, has opposed the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of the electoral roll in the state in its present form. The RJD leader said today that a delegation of leaders from the Grand Alliance met the Chief Electoral Officer of Bihar and raised their concerns about Revision 2025. Mr. Yadav alleged that, at the behest of the BJP-led government, the ongoing Revision is a conspiracy to deprive voters from the downtrodden classes, minorities, and weaker sections of society.
On the other hand, the BJP, JD(U), and other ruling parties of the NDA coalition have said that the RJD and Congress have no real issues to raise before the public, so they are targeting the Election Commission. Senior BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha alleged that the RJD-Congress-led Grand Alliance is insulting the Constitution by attacking constitutional bodies.
Meanwhile, the process of verification of the electoral roll under the Special Intensive Revision is underway in full swing across all 243 assembly constituencies in the state.
