Forensic Science Key to Justice in Developed India: President Droupadi Murmu

President Droupadi Murmu underscored the critical role of forensic science in shaping a justice-based, developed India. Addressing the third convocation of the National Forensic Science University in Gandhinagar today, the President highlighted the vision of a developed India that blends Indian heritage with modernity, ensuring justice for all.

 

The president stressed the expanding importance of forensic science in delivering timely justice, especially in light of the ever-changing nature of crime. She urged students to contribute to ensuring justice for marginalised communities. The president also commended the university for its efforts in training forensic experts and establishing a scientific criminal justice system.

 

President Murmu also expressed happiness at the increasing number of female graduates entering the field of forensic science, outnumbering their male counterparts.

 

Over 1,500 students from various forensic science streams were awarded degrees and diplomas at the convocation. Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, and Minister of State for Homes Harish Sangvi were also present at the ceremony.
