Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri reviews India US-cooperation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri held a meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during his ongoing visit to Washington. The meeting took place at the White House and focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation across key sectors. Both sides reviewed the India-US partnership with emphasis on trade, critical minerals, defence cooperation, and the Quad framework. 
 
US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor, who was present during the meeting, said on a social media platform that the discussions were constructive and forward-looking. He also said that Secretary Rubio is expected to visit India next month.
 
Earlier, Mr Misri met US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker. They reviewed progress on the bilateral agenda since the Foreign Office Consultations held in December last year. They also exchanged views on recent developments in West Asia and other regional issues of mutual interest.
 
The Foreign Secretary also interacted with leading strategic experts and thought leaders in Washington DC. Discussions focused on the current state and future trajectory of India-US relations, along with global geopolitical developments and their impact on energy, food, and economic security.
