Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met German Foreign Minister Dr Johann Wadephul in Berlin, Germany, yesterday. In a series of social media posts, the Indian Embassy in Berlin said, both countries agreed to broaden and deepen cooperation across key areas and reaffirmed the importance of the vital relationship.
During the meeting, the German Foreign Minister appreciated the steady progress in the India-Germany Strategic Partnership.
Mr Misri also co-chaired the India-Germany Foreign Office Consultations with State Secretary of the German Foreign Office, Dr Géza Andreas von Geyr, yesterday.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral ties and explored avenues to further deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries. The discussion also focused on intensified cooperation across key areas, including trade and investment, defence and security, technology, green and sustainable development, and mobility. The two sides also exchanged views on important regional and global issues.
Mr Misri and Dr Géza Andreas von Geyr also launched the logo commemorating 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The Embassy added that the milestone reflects the enduring strength of bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as their shared commitment to further deepen cooperation across diverse areas.
