Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri has reached London to foster ties between India and the United Kingdom. According to the Indian High Commission in the UK, the visit of the Foreign Secretary aims to build upon the momentum from the recent visits of the two Prime Ministers.
The High Commission said the Foreign Secretary’s meetings will strengthen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations and advance cooperation across key areas.
Last week, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar said that the relations between India and the UK have evolved from a complicated historical association to a dynamic and forward-looking partnership.
Dr Jaishankar had made these remarks during an event hosted by the British High Commission in India in New Delhi. Both countries had agreed to a Free Trade Agreement and shared a vision for 2035.
