Flood & landslides kill 12 in Philippines; 2.7 million people evacuated

Heavy rains and storms hit the Philippines today, causing floods and landslides that have killed at least 12 people and forced over 2.7 million from their homes. The storms began with Tropical Storm Wipha and were worsened by the southwest monsoon. Two more storms, Co-May and Francisco, followed this week. Co-May could become a typhoon and may hit the Ilocos Region soon, while Francisco is expected to leave the country tonight. The storms have caused about  73 million dollar in damage to farms and infrastructure. Flood warnings remain in place across Metro Manila and nearby areas.
