The Department of Fisheries will organise a round table conference with Ambassadors and High Commissioners from 83 partner countries in New Delhi tomorrow. The conference will be chaired by Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh.

The conference aims to strengthen bilateral trade, seafood export promotion and international market linkages. The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying said that the Government is convening this conference with participation from Ambassadors and High Commissioners from partner countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, Oceania, and Latin America and the Caribbean.

It said that the conference serves as a key platform to enable structured dialogue on seafood trade, market access, regulatory cooperation, and emerging opportunities for deepening bilateral and multilateral partnerships. Besides, the deliberations will focus on promoting sustainable, traceable and value-added seafood trade, while identifying avenues for investment, joint ventures, technology transfer and capacity building.
