External Affairs Ministry’s Fact Check Unit has debunked claims on social media that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has rejected Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s request to allow Indian ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. The Fact Check Unit has called the claim fake and asked the citizens to stay alert against such claims on social media. The Ministry has also termed as fake the claims on social media that Iran’s policy is clear that allies of the United States and Israel, especially India, will not be permitted entry.
