The government has refuted a video related to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, being circulated on social media platforms claiming that Mr. Shah expressed a desire for the saffronization of the Indian Army. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau has informed that the digitally altered video was AI generated and is being circulated by Pakistani Propaganda accounts to mislead people. It also clarified that the Minister has not made any such statement and has also given a link of original video to cross verify. The unit asked citizens to report such fake claims via calling +91 8799711259 or through an email at factcheck@pib.gov.in.
