External Affairs Ministry’s Fact Check Unit has debunked claims on social media that India has threatened Iran and the Indian Navy has entered the seas against the West Asian nation. The Fact Check Unit has termed the claim as ‘fake’ and asked citizens to stay alert against such baseless claims on social media. The Ministry has also termed as fake the claims on social media that India has warned Iran that if the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened, the Indian Navy will launch a very strong operation against Iran in which Iranian installations will be targeted.
