President Droupadi Murmu said the impact and value addition of the framework of accountability in the governance system is enhanced when there is greater synergy between the Executive and Audit institutions. The President was addressing the Officer Trainees of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service, at Rashtrapati Bhavan . She described the officers as custodians of public trust and guardians of financial prudence and emphasised that transparency and integrity are essential to strengthening democratic institutions.
The President had also addressed Officer Trainees of Defence Aeronautical Quality Assurance Service and Indian Trade Service today. Speaking to the Indian Trade Service officers, the President said they have a crucial role in attracting investment, generating employment and fostering an environment in which Indian businesses can innovate, expand and compete globally. She underlined that their guiding compass should always be India’s national interest.
Interacting with the Defence Aeronautical Quality Assurance Service officers, President Murmu said it is their prime responsibility to ensure the highest quality standards for technologically advanced and world-class arms and ammunition for the Armed Forces. She noted that their role places them at the intersection of science, technology, engineering and national defence. She urged them to adopt innovative approaches to help transform the Armed Forces into a technologically advanced, combat-ready force capable of multi-domain integrated operations.
