An FIR has been registered against former Director General of Police (Human Rights) Mohammad Mustafa and former Punjab Minister Razia Sultana. They were accused of murdering their son, Aqeel Akhtar. The FIR also names Aqeel’s wife and sister.

Panchkula Deputy Commissioner of Police Srishti Gupta today said that Aqeel Akhtar was found dead in his home on 6th of this month. The body was handed over to the family for cremation after preliminary investigations and post-mortem. The family had said that cause of death was a drug overdose.The Deputy Commissioner of Police said that a video of Aqeel has now surfaced in which he claimed that his family was conspiring to murder him.
