In the first match of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, on third day, India were 31 for 1 loss in its second inning against hosts England in Leeds. In the first innings, India registered six-run lead as England were all out scoring 465 runs against India’s 471 at Headingley.
Subhman Gill hit 147 runs while Rishabh Pant scored 134 to India’s big score. For hosts Ollie Pope’s 106 runs and Harry Brook’s 99 helped them to be closer to the target.
Earlier, India resumed their first innings with an overnight score of 359 for 3.
