Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw today said that the Pax Silica declaration signed today between India and US is very important for the semiconductor supply chain, semiconductor manufacturing, and chip design. Talking to the media, he said that the coalition will be helpful for establishing the entire semiconductor ecosystem in India, benefitting the electronics sector. Mr Vaishnaw underlined that today the world trusts India because of its trustworthy foreign policy and large talent pool. He added that very soon India’s first semiconductor plant will begin commercial production.
