Electioneering Picks Up in Bihar as NDA Finalises Seat Sharing; Grand Alliance Yet to Reach Agreement

The electioneering is gaining momentum for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. JD(U) National President and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has convened a meeting of senior party leaders at his residence this afternoon in Patna.

Meanwhile, Ratnesh Sada, the JD(U) candidate and minister from the Sonbarsa constituency in Saharsa district, has been allotted the party’s election symbol.  Senior BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said that the list of candidates will be announced soon.

Lok Janshakti Party (R) National President and Union Minister, Chirag Paswan, said the issue of seat allocation among NDA parties has been resolved through amicable discussions. He also said, the discussion on which party will contest which seat is also in its final stage with positive talks.

Rashtriya Lok Morcha President Upendra Kushwaha also said that the entire NDA stands united under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

On the other hand, in the Grand Alliance, no progress has been made on seat sharing between the Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Congress, resulting in the lack of a final agreement. However, several RJD candidates have begun preparing to file their nominations.
