Eight consecutive tremors of an earthquake shook the land of Vagad in the Kutch district of Gujarat early this morning. An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 was felt in the Vagad area at 4:30 am. Following this, people who were sleeping came out of their houses.

The epicentre of the earthquake was recorded 22-kilometres west-northwest of Rapar. Eight aftershocks of the earthquake were recorded in the same direction. Tremors of magnitude 4.6 were felt at 4:30 am, 1.7 at 4:39 am, 1.5 at 4:46 am, 1.8 at 4:49 am, 1.5 at 4:53 am, 2.0 at 4:54 am, 1.4 at 5:11 am, 1.4 at 5.25 am.
