Eight people killed after a 5.9-magnitude earthquake strikes northern Afghanistan

In Afghanistan, eight people were killed after a 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck the northern region of the country. Spokesman for the Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority, Mohammad Yousuf Hammad, said the deaths occurred when a house collapsed in Kabul province. The quake’s epicentre was located at a depth of 186.4 km, with strong tremors felt in Kabul.
