In Sudan, eight people were killed and several were injured in a drone strike by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) that targeted a neighbourhood in El Fasher. Eyewitnesses told news agencies that five civilians died on the spot, while three succumbed to injuries after being taken to the Hospital. Around 12 injured individuals were transferred to the hospital. As the country’s civil conflict drags on, militia attacks are continuing in civilian areas using artillery and drones. 

 

 

Sudan remains gripped by a conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the RSF, which erupted in April 2023. The fighting has killed thousands of people and displaced millions, both internally and across borders, deepening the country’s humanitarian crisis.
