In Uttar Pradesh, Kushinagar police arrested eight accused, including two women, for the alleged religious conversion of Hindu girls. Superintendent of Police Kushinagar, Santosh Kumar Mishra, said that the accused has been arrested after an application was registered at Police Station Padrauna by the victim’s father, stating that an organized gang brought his daughter from Amritsar to Kushinagar and lured her into converting her religion and kidnapped her. SP Kushinagar informed that the joint police team of Thana Padrauna, Cyber Cell and SWAT today recovered the victim safely and arrested a total of 8 accused. Further legal action is being taken on the basis of the arrest and recovery. During interrogation, the accused confessed that they have an organized gang.
