The Enforcement Directorate officials are raiding the residence and office of an eminent film producer, Akash Baskaran, in Chennai this morning. The producer of Dawn Pictures is also a director and has produced blockbuster movies with Dhanush, Siva Karthikeyan and Simbu.

In another move, the ED officials also searched several TASMAC offices and the residences of the officials linked to the scam in Chennai with the support of the CRPF. The raid is connected to a case at the Madras High Court, where there is an allegation that there was a scam amounting to 1000 crores of rupees.
