The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting search operations at 12 premises across Karnataka, including the residences of Mohammed Haris Nalapad and Omar Farook Nalapad, sons of Karnataka Congress MLA, N.A. Harris. Sources at the ED said that the search operations are in connection with a case involving Srikrishna alias Sriki and other accused persons. The source said the investigation was initiated on the basis of multiple FIRs and charge sheets filed by the Karnataka Police. This includes hacking of National and International websites, theft of bitcoins, extortion, and violations of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. 

 

Investigations have indicated that Mohammed Haris Nalapad and Omar Farook Nalapad are close associates of Srikrishna Ramesh and are among the key beneficiaries of the proceeds of crime. Further investigation is underway.
