Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the Economic Survey 2025-26 clearly shows that country’s development journey is inclusive and sustainable. Addressing the media at his residence in New Delhi on Thursday, Mr Chouhan said that the survey is not merely a compilation of statistics, but a mirror of government’s effort and its commitment. He said that agriculture and the rural sector are the engine of the country’s growth. The minister highlighted that the agricultural growth rate in the country over the last 5 years has been 4.4 percent. Mentioning various schemes Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he stated that the Government is carrying forward the pledge of Antyodaya and the resolution of a Viksit Bharat.
