The Election Commission has started the process of delisting 345 Registered Unrecognised Political Parties for not fulfilling the essential conditions. The exercise has been conducted with the aim of de-listing such parties which have not contested any election of the Lok Sabha, legislative assemblies of states and Union Territories or bye-elections since 2019. Besides, the offices of these parties could not be physically located anywhere.
