The Election Commission of India (ECI) has notified the schedule for the bye-election to the Rajya Sabha of the States from Punjab, following the vacancy that arose due to the resignation of Sanjeev Arora on July 1, 2025. The polling will be held on October 24th between 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Nomination process began today, and October 13, 2025, is the last date for filing nominations. The date for scrutiny of nominations is October 14, and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is October 16. The election process shall be completed before October 28th.
