The Election Commission has transferred four senior police officials in Tamil Nadu. DN Harikiran Prasad has been posted as SP of Karur, while DV Kiran Shruthi has been posted as SP of Erode. Sujith Kumar has been appointed as SP of Nagapattinam, and Dr N Shreenatha will take charge as SP of Virudhunagar. In its letter to the Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu, the Commission said that the compliance report in respect of the joining of the officers is to be sent to the Commission by 11 AM tomorrow.  

       

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, in his Press Conference yesterday, had assured that elections in all states, including Tamil Nadu, would be inducement-free, fair, impartial and peaceful. In pursuance of this objective, the Poll Body has carried out transfers of senior police officers in Tamil Nadu.
