Ahead of the Assembly election, the Election Commission has decided to deploy 480 companies of central forces in West Bengal. The deployment will take place in two phases. On 1st March, the first batch of 240 companies of forces will arrive in the state. Later, on March 10, the remaining forces will be deployed. Following the Commission’s instructions, the Union Home Ministry has already sent a letter to the state administration, informing about the deployment of central forces in the state.
