In a letter sent to the Chief Secretary of West Bengal, the Election Commission has directed that the honorarium for officials and staff engaged in the special intensive revision of the voter list be settled quickly. 

 

The Commission stated that the payments must be made promptly in accordance with the earlier guidelines concerning the honorarium for Electoral Registration Officers, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, Booth Level Officers, and Supervisors. 

 

It was noted that although the Commission had previously informed the state about this issue, no update has yet been received regarding the clearance of pending payments.

 

Therefore, by issuing fresh instructions, the Commission has emphasised that the outstanding honorarium for the concerned officials and staff must be cleared immediately, without any further delay.
