In West Bengal, the Election Commission today conducted a virtual training session for 200 judicial officers from Odisha and Jharkhand who have arrived in the state to oversee Special Intensive Revision (SIR) work. These officers will join several hundred local judges already deployed across various districts.
Justice Arijit Bandopadhyay of the Calcutta High Court and the Registrar General were present during the session to provide guidance.
The Commission has already finalised logistical arrangements, including accommodation and transit, for the visiting officials. This collaborative move aims to ensure transparency and efficiency in the electoral roll process ahead of upcoming polls.
