Election Commission today said that first randomisation of Electronic Voting Machine- Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (EVM-VVPATs) for the second phase of Bihar Assembly Elections has been completed. In the second phase, Assembly elections are to be held in 122 Constituency spread in 20 Districts of the State. In a statement the Commission said that the randomisation was done through EVM Management System by the District Election Officers in the presence of the representatives of National and State Recognised Political Parties. 

 

 

The Poll Body added that that Constituency wise lists of randomized EVMs and VVPATs were shared with the representatives of all National and State Recognised Political Parties. It said, these EVMs and VVPATs will be stored in the concerned  Assembly Strong Room in the presence of the representatives of National and State Recognised Political Parties.

 

 

The list will also be shared with all the contesting candidates. The Commission has already completed the randomisation of  EVM-VVPATs of the first phase of Assembly elections in which polling will be held for 121 seats.
