Easter was celebrated with devotion and joy across Keralam today, marking the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the culmination of the Holy Week observances. Special midnight and early morning masses were held in churches throughout the state, with thousands of faithful attending prayers and services.
Prominent churches in cities like Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, and Kottayam witnessed large gatherings, as believers offered prayers, lit candles, and participated in traditional rituals. At the St. Mary’s Cathedral Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram and the Madre de Deus Church Vettukad, Holy Mass was held in the morning, while Cardinal Baselios Cleemis led special Easter prayers.
Further masses are scheduled at 5 PM and 7 PM at the cathedral. Easter services were also held at the Lourdes Forane Church PMG and St Joseph’s Cathedral Palayam.
